From the inside and the outside at the same time.
I am an organisation development consultant with twenty years of experience working with senior leaders, boards, and leadership teams across Asia, Europe and the UK.
My background is unusual. I trained as a social worker and psychologist in India, then completed an MBA in Strategy and Leadership at the University of Exeter. I have worked inside organisations — as an internal OD consultant at Shell Eastern Petroleum and as a Change Management Lead at GlaxoSmithKline — and as an external consultant to MNCs, government agencies, social service organisations, family businesses and startups. That dual perspective shapes how I see organisations: from the inside and the outside at the same time.
My practice is grounded in the systems psychodynamic tradition, developed through behaviour labs at the Tavistock Institute in the UK, ISABS in India, and CSGSS in the USA — an approach that takes seriously what is happening beneath the surface of organisational life. This includes the Tavistock's intensive two-week Leicester Conference on group relations.

“Things are seldom what they seem.”— The line that shapes how I work

I start underneath the presenting problem.
The issue a client brings to me is rarely the issue that needs solving. A leadership team that cannot align on strategy may actually be struggling with unspoken conflict. Leaders described as not being proactive with their people may be working inside a culture where it is not safe to have difficult conversations. A technology implementation that is failing on adoption may be a story about identity and authority, not training.
I take time to diagnose before I recommend anything. I work closely, for as long as the work requires. I do not apply templates. I do not send juniors. When you work with me, you get me.

Wei Chao leads our data and digital practice.
Where I work on why change stalls, Wei — widely known as Alice — works on how technology and data need to be designed for people to actually use them. Together we cover both sides of the same problem.
Alice is a data and analytics practitioner, instructional designer, and educator with experience across the IT software, finance, media, and nonprofit sectors in the Asia region. She has worked with organisations to improve processes, decision-making, and people capability through the responsible use of technology and data. Her earlier career includes Maxus Global (GroupM) as Regional Data & Insights Manager across APAC, and Deloitte in data analytics.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin (USA), a Master of IT in Business (Dean's List, Highest Distinction) from Singapore Management University (SMU), a Digital Transformation and Change Management certification from BCG RISE Academy, and a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) from the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL). She is also a Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
Beyond client work, Alice is committed to education that builds practical skills, reflective thinking, and ethical judgement — supporting practitioners and young people to develop resilience, responsible decision-making, and lifelong learning.

The principles behind every engagement
- We begin with the intent to establish trust. That is the foundation of the working relationship.
- We value history as much as we look to the future. Context is everything.
- We do not design or intervene in ways that leave anyone behind.
- Solutions are easy. Implementing and sustaining them is where the real work lies.
- Timing matters. We will not rush, and we will not be rushed.
- Organisational change involves significant personal change for the leaders involved.
